This summer, high school juniors went beyond the classroom to explore bacterial genomics through the Summer Science Program from SSP International.

In the 2026 Bacterial Genomics program, students investigated how bacteria evolve under stress. Working in teams, they grew bacteria under selective pressure, sequenced evolved strains, and analyzed their genomes to identify mutations associated with stress resistance.

Plasmidsaurus was proud to support these students with whole genome sequencing for their research projects.
