Job Overview
The Senior Designer at Plasmidsaurus will be responsible for setting the visual creative direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of design excellence across all aspects of our UX and marketing design needs. This role requires a visionary with a passion for creativity, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative spirit. You will work closely with the marketing, product, and engineering teams to bring the Plasmidsaurus brand to life, crafting compelling visual narratives and enhancing user experiences across all platforms.
Essential Functions
- Design Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear design vision and strategy aligned with Plasmidsaurus's brand identity and business objectives.
- Design Thinking Integration: Lead the integration of design thinking into product development processes, ensuring that user experience and visual aesthetics are at the forefront of product design.
- Driving Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of cutting-edge design trends and technologies.
- Design Excellence: Ensure the highest standards of design excellence are maintained across all visual communications, including digital advertising, UX design, sales collateral, email campaigns, and the company's website.
- Brand Stewardship: Expand upon and maintain Plasmidsaurus’s visual brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and cohesive brand representation across all touchpoints.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and engineering teams to create seamless and engaging user experiences, integrating feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
- Project Participation: Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Champion a user-first approach to design, conducting user research, usability testing, and iterative design reviews to gather insights and validate design decisions. Advocate for the needs of our users and ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across all touchpoints.
- Conversion Optimization: Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals, such as improving conversion rates, user engagement, and overall customer satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to inform design decisions and demonstrate the impact of design on business performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to align on creative direction, project priorities, and deliverables, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and alignment.
Required Education and Experience
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in a creative role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to set creative direction and deliver high-quality design work.
- Expertise: Proficiency in design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma. Plus knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- UX Focus: Demonstrated experience in UX design, with a understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Innovation: Proven ability to drive innovation and implement new design trends and technologies.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and engineering.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Brand Management: Experience in brand stewardship, ensuring consistent and cohesive brand representation across all channels.
- Project Involvement: Ability to manage involvement in multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

This role based in South San Francisco. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 annually based on experience. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
